Preparing for a boudoir session does not mean changing your body or trying to look like someone else. Good preparation is mainly about arriving feeling comfortable, organised and ready to enjoy the experience.
Your photographer should guide you through posing, facial expressions and positioning during the session. You do not need modelling experience, and you do not need to know how to pose before you arrive.
Choose Outfits That Feel Like You
Lingerie is only one option. You may also bring a bodysuit, oversized shirt, robe, dress, fitted top, jacket or meaningful personal item. Choose pieces that fit comfortably and help you feel confident.
Avoid Last-Minute Changes
Try not to schedule unfamiliar beauty treatments, dramatic hair changes, tanning appointments or new skincare treatments immediately before the session.
Communicate With Your Photographer
Let your photographer know about any insecurities, mobility considerations, preferred angles or boundaries. Clear communication can make the experience more comfortable and personalised.
Plan for Comfort
Bring loose clothing to wear before the shoot so tight waistbands and straps do not leave temporary marks on your skin. Water and a light snack may also be helpful.

How many outfits should I bring?
Many clients bring two or three main outfits plus one backup option. Ask your photographer how many outfit changes are included in the session time.
Should I get a spray tan before my session?
Only use a spray tan if it is part of your normal routine and you know how your skin will react. An unfamiliar tan can appear uneven or transfer onto clothing and studio furniture.
What should I wear to the studio?
