Welcome to Boudoir By Stephanie Nivens – Owner/Photographer
Hi, I’m Stephanie, your boudoir photographer.
I am the owner/photographer at Boudoir by Stephanie Nivens. Our private studio 1500 sq ft studio is located on the square of Watertown TN and is designed to make you feel welcomed and relaxed.
My journey in Boudoir began in 2018 when a friend of mine contacted me and asked if I would be interested in photographing her boudoir shoot. After thinking about it I agreed and have never looked back.
I have always known that I wanted to do something where I could help women. Although I could never understand how or when until after my first session and seeing how empowering it was for her. Then it all just fell into place and as a result my business was born.
I myself have had to overcome a lot of my personal issues in order to create a thriving business. I went my entire life being the person that didn’t want to be heard or seen. I can’t begin to explain how many opportunities I have missed out on in life because I began to accept this as part of life and live my life sitting quietly in the back.
When I first started on this journey, I had no idea that I was going to be helping myself in the process of helping so many women. Once I started my business, I realized that I had no choice but to start putting myself out there, despite how paralyzed and terrified I sometimes felt.
Some of the simple things that used to scare me the most were… meeting new people, interacting on social media, going live, and vulnerably sharing my work with the world.
The biggest thing I’ve learned from this is…
It’s not as hard and scary as you think. The more you practice facing your fear, the easier it gets, and the more confident you become.
I see this with the women coming in to do shoots with me. A lot of them are scared to get in front of the camera let alone put on lingerie and allow themselves to be seen.
Once they decide to throw caution to the wind they realize that fear turns into confidence and they feel empowered. All because they faced their insecurities and stopped letting fear control their life.
