1. Introduction: What's your story?
Hi, I'm Amber Desantis, the founder and creative force behind Amber Desantis Photography, a boudoir studio in Roswell, Georgia. My journey into boudoir photography began back in the early 90's as an art student in New York. After a few photography classes, taking boring photos of parks and buildings, I had a simple yet powerful realization: every woman has struggled with not wanting to have her photo taken, because she's still waiting for the right time to lose weight, hit that milestone she set for herself, or just to get through a chaotic day. She feels like she's lost touch with herself, whether it's due to the demands of motherhood, career stress, or the relentless pressure of society’s beauty standards, and she feels stuck in a cycle of self-criticism. Women are always waiting for the “right time” to feel good about themselves. We’re bombarded with messages that our value is tied to our appearance, youth, or productivity. We often put ourselves last on the list of priorities, feeling guilty or selfish for taking time to focus on ourselves. The thought of celebrating "me" feels foreign, even indulgent—but also desperately needed.
But here’s the good news, I realized that self-care and self-love aren’t things you suddenly do perfectly. A boudoir session is for you because you deserve to celebrate yourself just as you are right now. You are worth investing in your confidence and happiness. From the very first click of my camera, I was captivated by how a single image could transform self-perception and ignite confidence. It was this transformative power that led me to launch my boudoir photography business. I wanted to offer a sanctuary where clients could step away from the world’s expectations and embrace their authentic selves. 2. What is your experience shooting boudoir?
Six years, and hundreds of women later, I love the whole process. Imagine seeing yourself in a way you haven’t in years—strong, radiant, and unapologetically confident.

Let me tell you the story of my client and friend, Ronnie. They came in recently for a boudoir session” I wanted to do something for myself, to document me as I am now to look back on in the future. I'm turning 30 this year, and it felt right to celebrate by doing a shoot that was a bit out my ordinary comfort zone. Doing this boudoir shoot completely changed my confidence. For the first time ever, it felt like I wasn't just faking this persona of self-assurance and pride. I didn't feel like a different version of myself, but rather that this was the me I always knew was there but lacked the vision to see. Even now as I sit typing this out in my yoga pants and hoodie, hair in frizzy braids and face make-up free, I feel that confidence unlocked and ready to go regardless of how I look.” Isn't that awesome? 3. Where will the photo shoot take place?
Picture this- the moment you enter the studio doors, you are in a safe space, free to be whoever you want to be. We'll play an amazing playlist of your favorite music, a lux robe slipping off your shoulders, while sipping champagne and getting all glammed up with hair and makeup. Our Roswell Georgia studio is located close to Historic Roswell, so after your session, you can go out for lunch and some more me time, and enjoy feeling like a celebrity, because you'll just look THAT GOOD.
4. How should customers prepare for the Boudoir photo shoot?
Once you book your session, and have picked out your date, I will send you lots of information to help you shop, and look for the best outfits for your body. You can also just shop our closet, because it is fully stocked with lingerie from XS-6XL, swanky lux robes and body jewelry, red bottom heels, and Victoria's secret style angel wings. I'll also guide you through how to prepare your hair, skin and nails for the big day. All you really have to do is show up!
5. Will there be a hairstylist and make-up artist?
Our hair and makeup team is led by Brianna Petzel, of Beauty and Beyond by Bri. She is an incredible makeup artist, and the most beautiful and special person. She will take care of you, and help you choose the best makeup look for your session.
6. What do you do to make your customers feel comfortable for the shoot?
Whatever the reasons are that you’re thinking about having a boudoir photoshoot, just know that first and foremost I’m here for you along the way! The minute you walk into my studio, you are in a safe place-you get to be exactly who you are, and I am going to hold your hand and guide you through an amazing experience! And I promise I won't catch you with your eyes closed!
I provide detailed instructions for posing and make sure we capture your best possible angles with my magic poses! Before your session we will have some girl time to chat so I can make sure I know what you are envisioning for your images, and to show you how I am going to coach you through all the poses.
I pride myself on providing incredible service and gorgeous images, but beyond that, allowing women to bring out their inner goddess, no matter what size.
7. Are pictures printed or do you provide a digital file?
There are so many options available for you and your budget.
All of your images will be shown to you already retouched, so you know exactly what you are getting.
My most popular collection is The Siren package which includes 30 images in a gorgeous custom album.
Each album is beautifully hand-crafted and customized to your style.
The pages are super thick and fingerprint proof. It also includes a privacy case.
This way if Grandma is coming over on Thanksgiving she doesn't see your nudes sitting out! (hahaha)
With the Siren Collection you'll also receive the 30 images from your album in a phone app so that you can have them on your phone, and share them.
The Siren Collection is priced at only $3,000 Like I said, most of our ladies love that and find that 30 images is a great place to start!
However, we do have a lot of ladies that want something smaller!
We offer an a la carte menu that is made up of our smaller, trial items.
For those looking to dip their toe in or have a tiny taste of boudoir, I recommend our 5x7 Little Black book with 10 images It's perfect for sitting on your nightstand or dresser.
The investment for the little black book is ONLY $785.
This is great for those who aren't quite ready to jump into one of the bigger collections yet.
I also have an awesome sexy custom magazine that’s super popular!
We do take credit cards, Affirm, AfterPay, and PayPal credit.
We also do in-house payment plans as well, and you can break the payments up into something that fits your budget.
8. What happens on the day?
The sessions start at 10 am with hair and makeup And the photo part is another 2 hours or so. Be prepared to spend about 4 hours total.
Our professional, hair & makeup artist does your hair and makeup there at the studio, and when she is done, it will just be you and me
And while you’re in hair and makeup, we go through your wardrobe and do a wardrobe consultation and during your session, you will get 4 outfit changes.
I pose from head to toe! You literally don’t have to know anything, I'll even show you how to breathe!
And the first things you will receive from me when you book are a ton of emails and prep guides to help you plan.
Basically info on what to wear, what to shop for, how to prepare. You will be more than ready.
9. Where will the photographs be used?
Your privacy is my top priority. I have strict policies in place to ensure your images remain 100% confidential unless you choose to sign a model release. I will never share your images without your permission.
10. What is your cancellation and/or refund policy?
If you submit a written request to reschedule services at least 14 days prior to the event date, the initial nonrefundable payment may be applied to the new date within the current calendar year.
In the event the reschedule request occurs within 13 days of the original event date, the Client will be required to remit a new initial nonrefundable payment, at time of request to book a new date.
