When we take your killer curves, mix in some great outfits and studio sets, and add in my hype-girl energy and expertise with posing and lighting, we will create magical, jaw-dropping, STUNNING images. I’m Larissa and back in 2021 I started on this journey to create a branch of my photography business that caters to incredible women just like you. I was working primarily with high school seniors and really enjoying celebrating who they are authentically but I was also having conversations with so many moms about how they wished they could do a session like that again. A session that showcased who they were in this stage of life as a grown adult, that was full of energy and positivity and helped them feel alive and amazing in their skin. These conversations slowly morphed into hours of research and education, practice and honing my craft, learning to shoot a whole new style with studio lights, developing a new business model, website, and marketing plan and above all trying to keep my message clear: no matter what stage of life you are in, you deserve to feel amazing and taking time out of your busy schedule to rediscover yourself and put that pep back in your step is worth it. Every woman deserves to feel beautiful just as they are!
I think some people misunderstand what boudoir is. It’s not just smexy photos or something that a bride does before the wedding. While it can be those things, it’s also an opportunity to see your body in a new light and to appreciate it for the amazing things it has done for you. These sessions are empowering, creative, feminine, playful, fierce, freeing, and so much freaking fun!
Boudoir is also not just for those uber confident babes. The truth is that most ladies are fighting so many nerves when they agree to this thing. But every one of them has found a new dose of confidence through the experience of a session with me. I am there to encourage them every step of the way and while those nerves always melt away as we get going with the session, it’s not like anyone breezes in without a care. I build a relationship and level of trust with each lady that I work with and that certainly helps but these sessions are intimate and revealing in more ways than just showing skin. While they do ask you to step out of your comfort zone they also reward you with a fresh new look at just how incredible you are.
Boudoir sessions may not be for everyone but I do think that are for a lot of us ladies. They are for the mommas trying to better understand and love their bodies after babies because we know that growing those incredible kids is such a beautiful thing worth celebrating even if it will never quite go back to the way it was before. Boudoir sessions are also for those ladies that are thinking about starting the journey to motherhood and want to capture their curves beforehand. Boudoir is for the ladies that have set those big health goals and want to celebrate their progress and success. Boudoir is also for those ladies that have decided to give the diet culture the middle finger and embrace the amazing body they have been blessed with. Boudoir is for those celebrating big milestones, birthdays, and promotions as well as those that are preparing for the surgery and wrapping their brains around the diagnosis. Boudoir is for those wanting to share their images with their partner and it is certainly for those that are looking to honor their self love journey and have a reminder of how valuable they are no matter what their relationship status is. The truth is that a session really is for YOU! (Your partner just gets to benefit!)
